Becca is an undergraduate student at Fairfield University. Becca is a behavioral neuroscience major on a pre-law track with an intention to pursue a career in the interdisciplinary field of neurolaw. She is currently carrying a 4.0 GPA and is the recipient of her university’s largest and most prestigious scholarship. Rebecca graduated from St. Francis Preparatory School, with a 4.0 GPA and high honors.
Throughout her four years in high school, Becca enrolled in honors and advanced placement courses, earning 15 college credits before her university enrollment. She took challenging courses such as AP Biology, AP English Language, AP Psychology, and AP English Literature.
Alongside her academics, she was heavily involved in her school’s community. In her school’s Fashion Club, Becca blended her passion for the arts with her organizational expertise by directing innovative projects, curating trips and events, and mentoring younger members, earning herself the title of President in tandem with her two co-chairs. Becca also served as a writer and editor for her school’s newspaper, “The Seraph,” where she covered local and national news for St. Francis Prep’s student and alumni community. In addition to this, she worked as an environmental leader for her school’s Pura Vida club, organizing and participating in community clean-ups and creating ecological campaigns, and was a senior member of her school’s Science of Psychology Club, where she fostered discussion about new advancements in the field of psychology. Lastly, Becca was heavily involved in St. Francis Prep’s film program, earning an award for Excellence in Film and Video at the time of her graduation.
We are proud to add that Becca was a Kweller Prep student in preparation for both the SHSAT and SAT exams. After completing her program for the SHSAT, she scored a 550 and was placed into her first choice specialized school, Bronx High School of Science. Although she received admission to both Bronx Science and Townsend Harris High School, she ultimately decided to attend St. Francis Preparatory School, where she was awarded a prestigious merit scholarship based on her TACHS score of 99. During her college application process, she returned to Kweller to attend SAT classes, improving her score enough to earn her admission to some of the nation’s top colleges. Becca was accepted into every college she applied to, receiving admissions offers from Boston University, Villanova University, and more, and earning over $300,000 in merit scholarships.
At Fairfield University, Becca has involved herself in a plethora of the school’s extracurriculars. She is a member of the STEM and Neuroscience clubs, where she has been able to network with and learn from a variety of science mentors. Becca is also a member of Fairfield University’s newspaper, “The Mirror,” where she has already begun to write articles covering campus and national news. Additionally, Becca is a member of the Fairfield University radio station, where she hosts her very own weekly talk radio show. Outside of campus-based activities, Becca has become involved in graduate neuroscience labs, where she is receiving hands-on experience in her desired field.
Becca is passionate about writing and is eager to mentor students in the Kweller Prep community.
