Kweller Prep Tutor Cecilia

Cecilia is an undergraduate student at Harvard University, where she plans to major in physics and government.

Cecilia graduated from the Bronx High School of Science with a 98 cumulative average. She took 8 Advanced Placement courses, including AP Calculus BC, AP Biology, AP Physics 1, AP Physics C, AP English Language and Composition, AP Comparative Governments, and AP Spanish Language and Culture. Cecilia scored 4s and 5s on all her exams and scored 1510 on the SAT with a math subscore of 790 and a reading subscore of 720. Cecilia also scored 100 on the Chemistry and Spanish Regents and near-perfect scores on the Physics and English Regents.

At Bronx Science, Cecilia was the Senior Council President, hosting senior events like Prom and Graduation. She served as the Director of the Bronx Science Athletics Committee and was a three-sport varsity captain playing tennis, basketball, and flag football. Cecilia won the nationwide NFL Latino Youth Award due to her excellence inside the classroom and on the field. Additionally, she is founder of her school’s Anti-Bullying Committee and part of the jazz band. For over three years, Cecilia has been doing mental health research in tandem with professors at Columbia University and CUNY Brooklyn. Throughout her high school years, she has been involved in rugby outside of school and will be playing Division I rugby at Harvard.

Cecilia was a teaching assistant and National Honors Society tutor at Bronx Science for two years. She has volunteered in Costa Rica teaching underprivileged children Spanish, and worked with the Non-profit organization Emancipated Stories, developing part of their online database.

Cecilia loves to help others learn and meet their testing goals. She is excited to get to know new students and help them achieve great SAT, PSAT, and SHSAT scores. In her free time Cecilia enjoys playing guitar and trying new foods.
