Claire is an undergraduate student at Duke University, where she majors in Psychology and Economics. She is currently taking Introduction to Developmental Psychology and Math, Ethics, and Society further to pursue her passions in interdisciplinary studies within psychological research.
Claire graduated from the Bronx High School of Science with a 97.50 GPA, taking the most advanced courses that the school has to offer. She enrolled in 12 AP courses such as AP Physics, AP European History, AP Art History, AP US History, AP Calculus AB, AP Literature, AP Language, AP Chemistry, AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, and AP Psychology, and AP French, as well as has participated in several honors classes such as Honors Geometry and Honors Biology and post-AP courses including Multivariable Calculus and Partial Differentials.
Claire graduated from Bronx Science with high honors as an AP Scholar with Distinction and a National Merit Finalist. Along with her academic dedication, Claire maintained a strong commitment to the community at Bronx Science, where she was an Editor-in-Chief of the school’s newspaper, president of the Bronx Science Institute of Fashion, and the vice president of the school’s National Organization for Women club. She was also a four-year member of the renowned Bronx Science Speech and Debate team and volunteers at a local preschool for children with special needs. She loved spending her summers through high school as a laboratory intern at Lehman College’s developmental psychology research lab and a member of Bronx Science’s three-year social science research program, where she published research on the impact of music education on children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
Claire loves music and has played guitar since she was a young child. Throughout high school, she was a student at the Manhattan School of Music’s pre-college program as a classical guitar major. In her free time, Claire loves to spend time with her wheaten terrier, Georgy, and sew clothes for her and her friends.
