Kweller Prep Tutor Claire

Claire is an undergraduate student at Cornell University pursuing a major in engineering.

Claire was a Kweller Prep student preparing for the SHSAT. She was admitted to and attended The Bronx High School of Science, which was her first choice. She also took the TACHS exam, earning admission and merit scholarships to all of her ranked schools.

Throughout her four years at high school, Claire enrolled in honors, advanced placement, and college-level courses. Claire took 12 AP classes, including AP Calculus BC, AP Physics, AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, AP Statistics, and AP Chinese, scoring a 4 or 5 on all of her exams. Beyond high school classes, Claire took two dual-enrollment college classes at Bronx Science, namely Multivariable Calculus and Financial Actuarial Math. Claire earned a 1550 on her SAT, scoring 800 and 750 in math and ELA, respectively.

Beyond academics, Claire was involved in research during her high school years. She conducted scientific research at a Biomedical Engineering laboratory at Columbia University’s medical center, ultimately inspiring her to pursue a Biomedical Engineering major at Cornell. She was also a member of her school’s National Honors Society, volunteering as an Honors Algebra 2 tutor for students.

Claire is very familiar with the SHSAT, SAT, PSAT, and TACHS. She loves to teach and is eager to mentor students in the Kweller Prep community. In her free time, Claire loves to run track and listen to music.
