Kweller Prep Tutor Daiyan

Daiyan is a graduate student at NYU Stern, pursuing a Master’s in Quantitative Finance. He earned his B.A. in Economics from NYU on a full scholarship, where he served as President of the Bengali Student Association for two years and was selected as the First-Generation College Speaker at the NYU College of Arts & Science graduation.

Daiyan is a proud graduate of Bronx Science, where he was a three-season varsity athlete in cross country, indoor, and outdoor track. He served as captain of the Track & Field team in his senior year, competing in sprinting, hurdles, and high jump and earning a Top 5 school record in both the high jump and pentathlon. Daiyan was also actively involved in the Muslim Interscholastic Tournament (MIST) and NASHA.

Throughout college, Daiyan completed competitive internships across multiple industries. His professional experience includes finance roles at CBRE (the world’s leading commercial real estate firm), U.S. Bank (corporate banking), and Colgate-Palmolive. He also worked as a consultant at Guidehouse, interned with both the NYC Department of Education and J.P. Morgan, and served as a brand ambassador for Amazon Prime Student and La Colombe Coffee.

At NYU, Daiyan remained deeply involved in leadership and community. He was active in organizations such as Consult Your Community and the Finance Society, and was honored with the “Mr. Asia” award by the Asian Heritage Club. His academic background includes rigorous coursework in AP Calculus AB, AP Biology, AP Environmental Science, AP Psychology, AP European History, AP Comparative Government, AP English Language, and AP Literature. In college he took courses such as, Econometrics, Advanced Financial Statement Analysis, Corporate Finance, and is currently taking advanced level business technical courses – business networking, business analytics, leadership and global economy.

Outside of academics and professional work, Daiyan is passionate about athletics, especially basketball, weightlifting, and sprinting. He is currently training to hopefully play basketball for his home country of Bangladesh on the national basketball team, using his journey to inspire South Asian youth.
