Daniella is an undergraduate student studying Chemistry at SUNY Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY, where she has been awarded the deans list multiple times throughout her college academic career. Parts of her coursework involved cell biology, human anatomy and physiology, Calculus 1 and 2, general chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry. Daniella is involved with the on-campus community through her mentorship with Dermatological (a club on campus that specializes in promoting the use of sunscreen to prevent skin cancer). Her role within Dermatological involved tabling to passersby at community-based events as well as distributing products that prevent/inhibit damage from the sun’s UV rays. Additionally, Daniella has been involved in the Environmental Sustainability research at Stony Brook University, where she has led projects, produced numerous scientific papers preparing for publication, discussed her current research project with NewsDay, and presented her research at multiple science symposiums. After she obtains her bachelor’s, she plans to pursue her Master of Science in Biomedical Science and continue research.
Before attending SUNY-Stony Brook University, Daniella graduated from Archbishop Molloy High School where she earned honors, a 3.7 GPA, and merit-based scholarships. At her alma mater, she was involved in science research regarding the use of alternative medicine versus conventional medicine on bacteria and was involved in various clubs, including French Club and Baking Club. Key parts of her coursework at Molloy included AP Psychology, AP English Language and Composition, honors English, Chemistry, and Physics. In her free time, Daniella enjoys hiking, playing and watching soccer, and learning different languages.
