Dasha currently attends Columbia University and is majoring in Political Science. Dasha attended the Bronx High School of Science, ending with a 97/100 average. Dasha scored a 540 on her SHSAT and a 1560 on her SAT, scoring 780/800 for both the SAT math section and the Reading and Grammar section. At Bronx Science, she took a heavy course load with 8 Advanced Placement courses: AP English Language and Composition (5), AP United States History (5), AP Comparative Government and Politics (4), AP Spanish Language and Culture (4), AP European History (5), AP English Literature and Composition (5), AP Calculus AB (4), AP Environmental Science (5), and AP Spanish Literature. She received AP Scholar with Distinction for these accomplishments.
At Bronx Science, Dasha was involved in a plethora of extracurricular activities. Dasha was the captain of the Varsity Public Forum team, the #1 Speech and Debate team in the world. Dasha is a 3x NYSFL qualifier, 2x TOC qualifier, and has championed tournaments such asthe Durham Cavalier Invitational and the NYSFL State Championship. Dasha served as the Director of Women in Speech and Debate at Bronx Science and was the Educational Resource Director for a national non-profit, Beyond Resolved 501(c)(3), where she organized and ran a charity debate tournament. Dasha also canvassed for Meridian Strategies, collecting data for a citywide political campaign to further her experience and interest in politics. In the summer leading up to her senior year, Dasha participated in the Sonia and Celina Sotomayor Judicial Internship Program, where she interned for a federal judge in the SDNY, observing court proceedings and summarizing motions. She also volunteered for two independent research projects regarding medical technical interfaces, such as Epic Systems, working remotely under the Center for Information Technology Policy at Princeton University and UCLA Center on Race and Digital Justice.
In her free time, Dasha enjoys selling clothes on Depop, watching Gilmore Girls, and reading. She is excited to help students reach their academic goals!
