David is an undergraduate student at McGill University’s Faculty of Science, planning to study in the Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences department.
David is a graduate of Stuyvesant High School. During his time at Stuy, he took advanced coursework including AP Biology, AP Psychology, AP Precalculus, AP Calculus BC, AP Macro and Microeconomics, and AP German, receiving a score of 5 on each and graduating as an AP Scholar with Distinction and a National Merit Scholar. David also took many unique electives offered at Stuyvesant, including Animation, Interior Design, Drama, Existentialism, and Western Political Theory.
Outside of the classroom, David was involved in several extracurricular activities, including editing and photography for the school newspaper, headshots and event photography for theater productions, and portraits for the school yearbook. For his photography, David won 3 Silver Keys and 2 Honorable Mentions at the 2025 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.
In his sophomore year, David cofounded the Stuyvesant Armenian Club, a culture club that aimed to bring representation of an important part of his identity to his school. He held educational meetings about different holidays. discussed current events throughout the year, and held bake sales to fundraise for the music school tuition of displaced children in Armenia. The summer before his senior year, David traveled to Armenia with AGBU Discover Armenia, a three-week-long trip that combined visits to historic sites with volunteer work such as construction, environmental cleanup, summer camp counseling, and food distribution.
In his free time, David enjoys practicing Aikido, cooking, traveling, and hiking.
