Kweller Prep Tutor David

David is currently an undergraduate at Macaulay Honors College at Hunter. David is double majoring in Computer Science and Urban Studies. Some of the courses that David will be taking next semester include Urban Life: Personal and Observational View, Politics of Climate Change, and Software Analysis and Design. David attended Stuyvesant High School and graduated as an AP Scholar with Honors. David achieved a 1540 SAT score, putting him in the 99th percentile of all test takers for the exam. At Stuyvesant, David took several rigorous courses, such as AP Chemistry, AP US History, AP Calculus AB, AP Computer Science, AP Macroeconomics, AP Statistics, System Level Programming, and Cybersecurity.

Outside of coursework, David was the president and founder of the Stuyvesant Weightlifting Club. In his time starting the club, David was the first Stuyvesant club leader to host meetings in the school’s weight room and amassed over 280 members in the first year of its founding. David worked with numerous health organizations at Stuyvesant to spread awareness for body positivity and proper strength training, such as the Red Cross, the Wellness Coalition, and the principal’s Health & Safety Council. David also worked at Kleinberg Electric, specializing in estimating for public works projects to improve the MTA New York City Subway, Port Authority, and the Department of Health.David is a passionate urbanist, always looking forward to new transit projects, walkability improvements, and zoning changes in his city. In his free time, David enjoys watching, filming, and riding trains and enjoys studying the subway maps of cities around the world.
