Ella is currently an undergraduate at Harvard University, where she is majoring in Biology and Chemistry. She is also a college athlete, competing for Harvard’s Cross Country and Track and Field team.
Ella graduated from Hunter College High School. She was involved in the Hunter community and was nominated as a writing mentor at the Writing Center to help students articulate their ideas and revise essays, reports, and poems. Ella was the co-president of Students Teach Areas of Science, a club dedicated to teaching science experiments to elementary and middle school students across New York City. She also served as the President of Hunter Key Club. She wrote and edited articles for The Precipice, Hunter’s climate and environmental publication, and was a peer tutor to younger students.
During her junior and senior year, her coursework included AP Chemistry (5), AP Spanish, as well as AP Biology, AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, and AP BC Calculus. She also took Shakespeare, and Cultural Studies: Youth Culture. Ella took the ACT exam the summer of her junior year and earned a composite score of 35 out of 36.
In her free time, Ella enjoys hanging out with her three siblings, playing the flute, and drawing.
