Kweller Prep Tutor Fabiha

FABIHA is a recent graduate of Yale University. She graduated with distinction in Cognitive Science, was an Education Studies Scholar, and a pre-medical student. Fabiha was very involved in campus life. She was a Dwight Hall Urban Fellow, First Year Liaison and Vice President of the Muslim Students Association, Co-Founder and Co-President of the Yale Bengali Students Association, and Co-Director of the South Asian Youth Initiative Conference. In addition, she was a highly involved researcher. She served as a Research Assistant at the Housing and Health Equity Lab, the Infant Mind and Cognition Lab, and the Equity Research and Innovation Center. Outside of academics, Fabiha was a Summer Fellow at Columbia SPURS, an American College of Cardiology Young Scholar, a Summer Intern at NYU Department of Ophthalmology, Regional Director for Girls Learning Advanced Math (GLAM), and a volunteer at the Living History Project.

Fabiha attended Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School from 7th through 12th grade on full scholarship through Prep for Prep. She was a member of her school’s orchestra, the Girls Acapella Group, the Model UN club, the Asian Cultures Club, and the JV Volleyball team. Outside of school, Fabiha participated in Weill Cornell Medical School’s HPREP, the Columbia University Science Honors Program (SHP), and the Lenox Hill Short-term Shadow program. In addition, Fabiha conducted research on preclinical Alzheimer’s disease with a mentor from the University of Washington in St. Louis Medical School, and was later invited to become a member of the research team. Fabiha was also a volunteer and head tutor at GLAM. Fabiha took 5 AP classes: AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, AP Psychology, AP Physics: C, and AP Spanish Language and Culture. In addition to her AP classes, Fabiha took the most rigorous, application-only courses offered at her school: Advanced Mathematics Seminar (Linear Algebra course), Advanced Seminar: Tufts University (Political Science seminar), and Advanced Science Research (2-year research course). Fabiha earned A’s in all these courses and maintained an overall 3.95 GPA (unweighted) throughout her high school career.

Fabiha attended Kweller Prep’s summer SAT course the summer after 10th grade and toured multiple colleges, including Yale, with Kweller that summer. She scored a 1570 on the SAT with a 790 on Reading and a 780 on Math. She also scored a 790 on the Biology-M SAT Subject Test.

Fabiha has taught SAT at Kweller Prep both in group and one-on-one settings. She enjoys working with students and is a confident teacher. In her free time, Fabiha enjoys listening to podcasts and reading.
