Fabiha is a graduate of Yale University, where she earned her B.S. in Cognitive Science with Distinction and was named an Education Studies Scholar. She is currently completing her Master of Science in Infancy and Early Childhood Development at University College London and will begin work as a Medical Coordinator at Memorial Sloan Kettering upon completion. Fabiha is passionate about pediatrics and education, and hopes to become a physician and a reliable mentor for students.
At University College London, Fabiha is completing her dissertation in collaboration with the INFANT Research Centre at University College Cork, investigating a novel touchscreen-based developmental screening tool for young children. During her senior year at Yale, she conducted an independent research study on infant cognition with the Infant Mind and Cognition Lab for her senior thesis, and completed an Education Studies capstone project designing math lesson plans grounded in developmental psychology.
Throughout her time at Yale, Fabiha was a deeply involved researcher and contributor to campus life. She worked as a Research Assistant at the Housing and Health Equity Lab, the Equity Research and Innovation Center, and the Infant Mind and Cognition Lab. On campus, she served as a Dwight Hall Urban Fellow, Vice President of the Muslim Students Association, Co-Founder of the Bengali Students Association, and Co-Director of the South Asian Youth Initiative Conference. Beyond Yale, she was a Regional Director for Girls Learning Advanced Math, a Summer Fellow at Columbia SPURS, an American College of Cardiology Young Scholar, and a Clinical Intern in the NYU Langone Department of Ophthalmology.
Fabiha attended Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School in New York City from 7th through 12th grade on a full scholarship through Prep for Prep. She excelled academically, taking a demanding slate of Advanced Placement courses along with the most advanced, application-only classes her school offered. Outside the classroom, she was a member of her school’s orchestra, an a cappella group, Model UN, and the JV volleyball team. She also participated in Weill Cornell Medicine’s HPREP program and the Columbia University Science Honors Program, and conducted research on preclinical Alzheimer’s disease with a mentor at Washington University in St. Louis.
Like many of our tutors, Fabiha knows Kweller Prep from the student side first. She attended our summer SAT course and toured multiple colleges with us that same summer, including Yale, where she would go on to enroll. She scored a 1570 on the SAT — a 790 in Reading and a 780 in Math.
Fabiha has been a tutor at Kweller Prep for several years, working with students in both group and one-on-one settings, in person and over Zoom. She tutors the SAT, SHSAT, and ISEE at all levels. Her teaching style combines personalized instruction that meets each student where they are, deliberate confidence-building, and structured, strategy-driven test prep designed to set students up to succeed on standardized exams. She is a confident, adaptable teacher who genuinely enjoys the work.
In her free time, Fabiha enjoys listening to podcasts, experimenting with new recipes, and reading.
