Fariba is an undergraduate student at Georgetown University, where she is pursuing a major in Marketing with the ambitious goal of launching a career on Wall Street. She is a proud graduate of Townsend Harris High School—consistently ranked among the finest public high schools in the nation—where she distinguished herself academically by earning an exceptional 4.0 GPA.
Throughout her high school career, Fariba challenged herself with an impressive array of rigorous coursework, immersing herself in a wide range of Advanced Placement classes. These included AP English Literature and Composition, AP Seminar, AP Research, AP Pre-Calculus, AP U.S. History, AP World History, AP Environmental Science, and AP Macroeconomics. Her dedication and intellectual drive earned her the prestigious AP Scholar with Distinction honor as well as the coveted AP Capstone Diploma. Further demonstrating her academic excellence, Fariba achieved an outstanding score of 1500 on the SAT.
Beyond the classroom, Fariba has channeled her values into meaningful service. She previously worked at Read Alliance, a nonprofit organization that pairs teenage tutors from low-income neighborhoods with local Title One elementary schools to strengthen the literacy skills of K-2 students. This experience reflects her deep-seated commitment as a passionate advocate for education, access, and personal development.
Fariba’s leadership truly shines through her extensive involvement with her school’s DECA Team. Serving as President, she has compiled an impressive competitive record, claiming first place at the New York City Regionals on two separate occasions, securing second place at the New York State competition, and qualifying for the International competition. In 2026, she will continue to elevate her achievements by competing at the state-level competition in the Integrated Marketing Campaign category.
Driven by her growing passion for business, Fariba was selected to join a distinguished network of young women of color in higher education through Seeds of Fortune, a community-based organization dedicated to uplifting marginalized female students in the fields of business, research, and entrepreneurship. While at Seeds, she designed an environmentally sustainable fan engineered to help students in heat-impacted climates continue attending school. With this innovative product, Fariba competed at the Bank of Montreal Pitch Competition, where she earned an impressive fourth place and won the remarkable opportunity to pitch once again at the Grant Cardone Foundation in Miami, Florida, on an all-expenses-paid trip.
Continuing her commitment to environmental justice, Fariba has joined the Youth Action Institute Fellowship at The Center for Justice Innovation, where she is gaining valuable insight into the legal proceedings behind policy-making and learning how to drive tangible change toward meaningful policy reform that ensures equity for all. Now, Fariba is thrilled to mentor students at Kweller Prep, where she looks forward to supporting them on their journeys toward academic success. In her free time, she enjoys reading, exploring photobooths around the city, and practicing the electric guitar.
