He was also a committed member of the Science Olympiad team, earning regional medals in two events: a 3rd place finish in It’s About Time and an 8th place finish in Remote Sensing. In addition, he was a proud member of the National Honor Society. Gabriel concluded his high school career adorned with an impressive array of honors, including the Advanced Regents Diploma, Mastery in Math, Mastery in Science, the AP Scholar with Honor Award, the AP Scholar with Distinction Award, the National Honor Society Award, and the Seal of Biliteracy in French and English.

Gabriel’s commitment to service and his community runs deep. He shadowed a complex-care pediatrician at the renowned Cohen Children’s Medical Center, gaining valuable insight into the medical field. He also volunteered his time at the Central Queens Food Pantry and served as a volunteer coordinator for Common Point Queens, a Boy Scouts-sponsored initiative, where he helped lead the construction of lifeguard chairs.
In his free time, Gabriel enjoys a variety of hobbies, including weightlifting, martial arts, reading, and exploring the city.
