HASHIM currently attends Emory University in Atlanta, where he is majoring in Political Science and later hopes to work in Human Rights advocacy. Hashim recently graduated from one of the best high schools in the country: Hunter College High School in Manhattan.
Prior to his six years at Hunter, Hashim attended Success Academy East Flatbush in Brooklyn. During his time at Hunter College High School, he challenged himself by not only taking but excelling in demanding courses like AP Statistics (5), AP US Government and Politics (5), He even self-studied for AP English Language and US History and managed to score 5s in both. Additionally, Hashim scored a 750 in the English Section and a 780 in the Math Section on the SAT in March of his junior year. With a composite score of 1530, Hashim sits comfortably in the top 1% of SAT test takers. Hashim is familiar with all of the tricks on the SAT and as the oldest of four has experience working with children in both academic and social contexts. He is also proficient in speaking Arabic.
During his senior year he thrived taking challenging courses like AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, Intro to Film and Media Studies, Advanced Essay Writing, and AP Calculus BC.
During his time at Hunter, Hashim participated in the Washington Seminar Program, served as President of Student Government, Vice-President of the Muslim Student Association, and played on the Varsity Basketball and Bowling teams.
After graduating from Emory, Hashim plans to attend law school. However, during his time at Emory he plans on taking on challenging courses in Economics and Constitutional Law. Hashim is excited to not only share the knowledge he gained at Hunter, but also help students see growth in themselves.
Outside of Kweller Prep you can find him plopped down on his coach spending long and grueling hours playing NBA 2K.
