Ian is currently an undergraduate student at NYU Stern, where he is pursuing a concentration in Finance. Some of his coursework has included Corporate Finance, Private Equity Finance, Statistics, Micro and Macro Economics, and Debt Instruments & Markets.
Ian graduated from Stuyvesant High School as an AP Scholar with Distinction and National Merit Scholarship Finalist. He achieved a 1590 SAT score, putting him in the 99th percentile of all test takers. At Stuyvesant, Ian took several rigorous courses, such as AP Computer Science, AP Calculus BC, AP Psychology, AP Spanish, AP World History, and AP Biology.
Ian has extensive tutoring and mentorship experience. He is a Teaching Fellow for NYU Stern’s Management & Organizations course, and a peer mentor for undergraduates looking to break into the Consulting & Data Analytics industries. At Kweller Prep, Ian works with students preparing for the SHSAT and SAT exams. He guides dozens of students through personalized test prep, helping them build strategies in math, reading, and writing. Ian tailors his lessons to each student’s strengths and weaknesses, creating strategies that make learning more engaging.
Outside of academics and tutoring, Ian has been deeply involved in debate and leadership. Ian served as a varsity member of the Stuyvesant Policy Debate team, and a co-captain of Stuyvesant’s table tennis team. On the NYU campus, Ian has been involved with clubs including the Management Consulting Group and the Business Analytics Club. Ian is also passionate about where technology and finance intersect, and has gained experience across startups and consulting. He has interned with Boston Consulting Group, where he developed a cost baseline model for a financial services client looking to modernize their product development lifecycle. He’s also interned with Filter You (an AR startup based in India), helping with business development and GTM strategy.
In his free time, Ian enjoys biking around Manhattan, playing chess, and trying new restaurants across the city with friends.
