Jakub currently attends Harvard College, where he will be pursuing a dual major in Economics and Physics.
Jakub is a proud graduate of the Bronx High School of Science, one of New York City’s most prestigious specialized high schools. During his time there, Jakub completed an extraordinary 14 Advanced Placement courses, including AP Chemistry, AP World History, AP U.S. History, AP Physics 1, AP English Language and Composition, AP Psychology, AP Spanish Language, AP Physics C: Mechanics, AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism, AP Calculus BC, AP U.S. Government, AP English Literature and Composition, AP Microeconomics, and AP Macroeconomics. On top of this remarkable academic course load, Jakub earned an impressive 1530 on the SAT, with a 790 out of 800 in the Math section and a 740 out of 800 in the English section.
Jakub was a deeply engaged member of the Bronx Science community, where he actively participated in Student Government. In this capacity, he organized and ran numerous school-wide events, including the beloved Halloween Monster Mash and the school’s Red Cross blood drives. He also serves as president of the Bronx Science Black and Latine Network, where he works to build a warm and welcoming community for the school’s Black and Latino students. In addition, Jakub lent his voice to the school by reading the morning announcements every Tuesday and Wednesday. Beyond the classroom, he gained valuable real-world experience through an internship at the New-York Historical Society, where he served as a Student Historian Intern and created educational materials about the Reconstruction era in American history.
In his free time, Jakub enjoys playing soccer with his friends and Brawl Stars with his younger cousin.
