JASON currently attends Cornell University, where he is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Biology within the College of Arts & Sciences. Demonstrating exceptional academic prowess, Jason maintains an impressive GPA of 3.9/4.0 in one of the university’s most rigorous programs. His academic journey is complemented by a robust involvement in campus life, particularly within sectors that intersect healthcare, science, and community service.
At Cornell, Jason contributes as an editor for the Cornell Healthcare Review, which is a testament to his deep interest and expertise in healthcare topics. He also serves as an event supervisor and test writer for the Science Olympiad at Cornell, engaging with young minds passionate about science. Further extending his commitment to societal contribution, Jason is an active member of the Big Red Adaptive Play and Design Initiative. This project team focuses on re-adapting technology to aid individuals with disabilities within the Ithaca community, underscoring his dedication to impactful community service. Jason’s ambitions in the medical field are further evidenced by his volunteer work at prestigious institutions such as the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Calvary Hospital. Prior to his tenure at Cornell, Jason graduated from Stuyvesant High School, where he excelled academically, achieving a GPA above 95 (unweighted). His high school years were marked by a rigorous selection of Advanced Placement courses, including AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus BC, AP Macroeconomics, AP Computer Science A, AP World History, AP United States Government and Politics, Advanced Computer-Aided Design, and Advanced Organic Chemistry. Jason not only took these challenging courses but also excelled in them, earning a score of 5 on most of his AP exams. Additionally, Jason scored a remarkable 1550 out of 1600 on the SAT, placing him in the top 99th percentile of test-takers nationally.
In the summer following his junior year of high school, Jason attended a selective program at the Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine. There, he produced a significant final project that identified a potential therapeutic target for breast cancer, highlighting his capability to contribute to critical research initiatives.
Outside the classroom and lab, Jason enjoys a well-rounded college life. He spends his free time engaging in various activities, such as hanging out with friends, binge-watching popular TV shows, playing video games, and exploring the natural beauty of Ithaca.
