He graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School in June 2021 with a 95 GPA and took advantage of the rigorous coursework offered, including Advanced Placement classes and advanced STEM classes. Joshua has taken AP English Language and Composition, AP Physics, AP World History, AP U.S. History, AP Computer Science Principles, and other college level engineering courses such as Design and Drafting for Production, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, and Robotics. In high school, Joshua participated in the Student Leadership Team and JV Basketball, leading his school to the first division championship in 30 years. Joshua was also co-founder of NycCleanup a non-profit organization with the goal of bringing to light the impact of climate change and organizing practical ways to help the environment by means of park cleanups. Joshua was a former SAT, SHSAT, and Regents student at Kweller Prep and ended up scoring a 560 on the SHSAT placing him in the 99th percentile of all test-takers. Joshua also graduated with an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors for completing all regents with an average of 90 and above and graduated from Brooklyn Tech with an endorsed diploma. During his time at City, Joshua plans to join NSBE and further his tutoring experience by giving supplemental help to students at the school’s peer to peer tutoring center, adding on to his years of experience of teaching family members and other students throughout his time at Brooklyn Tech. During his time away from Kweller, Joshua enjoys learning to code, playing basketball, reading, and spending time with family and friends, often over a good meal.
