Juno currently attends Columbia University, where she plans to study Economics and Urban Studies. Juno graduated from Hunter College High School, where she led the cello section of the string orchestra. Juno was also the President of Hunter Rescuing Leftover Cuisine, a community service club where she led a team of students to donate and deliver over 5,000 pounds of food-to-food pantries. Juno’s favorite extracurricular activity was leading the HAKYO club (Hunter American Korean Youth Organization), in which she helped members reconnect with their cultures through traditional games and food. Juno was also a Big Sib, where she mentored incoming 7th graders, helping them navigate through high school through her daily workshops and activities.
Juno was in Extended Honors Math, an accelerated math class, from eighth to eleventh grade. She took classes such as AP Statistics (5) and AP Spanish Language and Culture (5) while self-studying AP US History (5) and AP Human Geography (5), as well as AP Physics C, AP Calculus BC, AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, AP English Language, and AP Environmental Science. Juno is familiar with and has tutored the Hunter Test, SAT, SHSAT, and PSAT, in which she received a perfect score. Juno received a Math score of 800/800 and an English score of 770/800 for a composite score of 1570 on her SAT.
Juno has experience volunteering and private tutoring for middle schoolers and high schoolers, focusing especially on the SHSAT. In her free time, she likes to cook international cuisine and play Roblox with her friends.
