Krishi is an undergraduate student at the University at Albany. Krishi is a double major in Business Administration and Quantitative Economics, maintaining a 4.0 GPA through her first semester. This upcoming semester, Krishi’s coursework will include Macroeconomics, Calculus II, Information Tech for Business, and Introduction to Data Analysis.
Krishi graduated from Stuyvesant High School as an AP Scholar with distinction. During her time there, she took advanced coursework like AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP English Literature, AP English Language, AP Precalculus, and AP Statistics, successfully earning a score of 4 or higher. Outside of academics, Krishi was involved in several extracurricular activities, including congressional debate, Bollywood fusion dance, and managed multiple varsity sports, including football, basketball, and cricket. Throughout high school, Krishi served as a Student Fellow in the Manhattan Borough President’s Office through the Manhattan Future Leaders program, contributing to policy ideas focused on housing, transit, and equity. Additionally, she served as a Peer Coach with the Citizens’ Committee for Children of New York, leading advocacy workshops and presenting findings to lawmakers and public officials.
The summer after graduating high school, Krishi interned with one of New York’s top law firms. At DLA Piper, she gained early exposure to corporate law by shadowing the leveraged finance team, observing how multimillion-dollar financial transactions are negotiated, documented, and executed. At the University at Albany, Krishi founded the Modern Money Initiative, a financial literacy project focused on helping K-12 students and young adults understand money in practical terms, from budgeting and credit to long-term financial decision-making.
Beyond the classroom and professional commitments, Krishi enjoys reading, Citi Biking, and solving mathematical riddles, and remains an avid New York Knicks fan patiently waiting for the team to bring home a championship.
