Kweller Prep Tutor Laila

Laila is currently an undergraduate student at Hunter College, where she maintains a perfect 4.0 GPA and has consistently been on the Dean’s List. Laila is currently pursuing a double major in English Literature and Adolescent Education, reflecting a passion for both language and the development of young minds. In addition to her academic achievements, Laila is completing her student teaching at Corona Arts and Sciences Academy, gaining hands-on experience in the classroom, and applying educational theories in real-world settings. She volunteers at Hunter College Rockowitz Writing Center, where she assists fellow undergraduate and graduate students in improving and developing effective academic reading and writing skills.

Laila graduated from the Academy of American Studies in 2021 with full honors. During her time there, she successfully completed several advanced placement classes, such as AP Literature, AP Language and Composition, AP Government, AP United States History, AP European History, and AP Calculus. Additionally, Laila got ahead of her college credits by completing College Now Art History, Physics, and Biology. Laila was also a manager of the girls’ flag football team, where she demonstrated leadership and management skills by organizing score sheets and handling communication within the team.

Laila specializes in helping students with English, writing, and critical thinking, ensuring each student receives the guidance they need to excel. In her free time, Laila volunteers at her local library, where she helps librarians check out customers, shelve books, and support events like book clubs.
