Kweller Prep Tutor Lauren

Lauren is an undergraduate student at Emory University studying Accounting and Economics. She plans on graduating with her Masters in Public Accounting. She currently has a 3.86/4.00 GPA.

Lauren is a graduate of the Baccalaureate School for Global Education (BSGE). She attended BSGE for middle school and high school. Lauren received her IB Diploma in 2023, receiving a 7 in IB Mathematics: Applications and Interpretations, and took IB History of the Americas HL, IB Visual Arts, IB Chemistry, and IB English HL. She was involved with the school’s model UN team and created lesson plans on civil and constitutional rights for underclassmen. With her Model UN team, she received the Excellence in Research and Preparation Award two years in a row. Upon graduating, she received the Hackett Certificate, a DoE award for Most Proficient Oratory.

Outside of school, she was a part of Legal Outreach, where she participated in constitutional debate, Philosophy of Social Justice and college-level writing classes, and SAT preparatory classes as a tutor. She was awarded first place in Constitutional Law Debate: Fifth Amendment, Miranda Rights and First Amendment Rights. Lauren took the SAT in her junior year and received a 1510 on her SAT – 770/800 on the reading/writing section and a 740/800 on the math section.

In college, Lauren works for her school’s career center. She has worked with the career center for several years now, working with upwards of 50 students a month on resume editing, cover letter writing, and general career advice. She has TA’ed for Economics courses and is the treasurer of TAMID Business Club.

In her free time, she volunteers with DOROT, a non-profit agency that provides programming for older adults. She also enjoys painting and anything creative.
