Lina graduated from the Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College, where she pursued a B.S. degree in Accounting with a minor in Mathematics. Lina has taken a wide range of STEM and humanities courses, including Economics, Accounting, Finance, Money and banking, Multivariable Calculus, Statistics, Sociology, Psychology, Literature, and Art.
Lina graduated from Stuyvesant High School. Lina began taking Advanced Placement (AP) courses as early as freshman year with AP Human Geography, which she scored a five on. Following that, she took AP World History, AP US History, AP English Language and Composition, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus BC, AP Psychology, and AP Macroeconomics during her sophomore, junior, and senior years. Lina was a chemistry tutor and essay editor with Stuyvesant’s National Honor Society, ARISTA. She also danced in Stuyvesant’s annual StuySquad and SING! Shows. Lina scored 1510/1600 on the SAT and received a 22/24 on the old SAT’s essay section. She also scored a 760 on both the Math SAT II and Chemistry SAT II subject tests.
During her time as a tutor at Kweller Prep, Lina has taught 10+ SHSAT courses, 5 Hunter courses, 3 essay writing courses, and 3 ELA/Math Common Core courses. Lina has also privately tutored over one dozen students, many of whom received specialized high school acceptance offers and stellar scores on standardized exams and school exams. Lina strives to be a mentor to students and finds unique ways to make her classes engaging. Outside of school, she has danced modern dance for over ten years. When not teaching at Kweller Prep, Lina loves to ride her bike and explore NYC, paint, and bake cookies.
