Kweller Prep Tutor Megan

Megan is currently an undergraduate student at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, majoring in Electrical Engineering on the Signal Processing and Electronics track.

Megan graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School as a Physics major, where she completed an advanced STEM-focused curriculum. Megan excelled in Regents Physics with a 97 on the exam and went on to take AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, Modern Physics, Astrophysics and Astronomy, and AP Physics C: Mechanics—earning an A+ in all. She scored a five on multiple Regents exams, including Geometry, in which she earned a perfect 100.

During her time in high school, Megan was actively involved in a variety of extracurricular activities. She was a member of the Brooklyn Tech Girls Fencing Team and also served as an assistant manager at her private fencing club in Queens. Megan volunteered through the National Honor Society, tutoring underclassmen in Physics and Math, and served as an executive of the Sculpting Club, where she led meetings and taught clay sculpting techniques to inspire creativity among her peers.

In the summers, Megan volunteered at The Greene Garden near her school, helping to maintain a clean and sustainable environment. She also worked as a camp counselor at the Kuei Luck Enrichment Center, a K–8 educational camp, where she managed and tutored younger students.

Academically, Megan completed eight AP courses: AP European History, AP Computer Science Principles, AP Computer Science A, AP Calculus BC, AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, AP Physics C: Mechanics, and AP Macroeconomics. She earned several scores of 5 and was recognized as an AP Scholar with Distinction. In her senior year, she accelerated to college-level mathematics by taking Multivariable Calculus, finishing the course with an impressive average of 100.4 GPA. She also scored a 1510 on the SAT, with a 790 in Math and a 720 in English.

During her free time, Megan enjoys experimenting with drinks, lattes, and all kinds of creative barista-style concoctions.
