Morgan is currently an undergraduate student at McGill University, planning to study Chemistry and Physiology.
Morgan is a graduate of Hunter College High School. During her time at Hunter, she held many leadership positions in school activities as President of her grade’s Term Council, President of the Asian Cultural Society, President of Hunter’s American Korean Youth Organization, and Big Sib. She was also Editor-in-Chief of Annals, Hunter’s yearbook, where she led a team of 50+ members across six departments to work together on creating a 360+ page book. Morgan oversaw the creative direction of Annals, including but not limited to the yearbook’s structure, photo assets, layout, and content. She was also a 4-year member of the Girls and Coed Varsity Golf teams.
Additionally, Morgan has experience with academic mentorship, as a previous French Teaching Intern at Hunter, where she guided a class of younger students in their French class curriculum, created weekly agendas and worksheets, and facilitated class activities. She was also a French and Chemistry peer tutor, responsible for working one-on-one with students wanting extra help in their classes at Hunter.
Outside of school, Morgan has been a member of the Organizing Committee at the MinKwon Center for Community Action, where she collaborates with highschool and college students around the city to develop campaigns and projects such as press conferences, town halls, and canvassing events. She was also Director of the New York City Asian American Student Conference, a 200+ attendee conference centered around highlighting different Asian American workshops and keynote speakers while bringing together students from across the tri-state area. The summer before senior year, Morgan was an intern at Lenox Hill Neurosurgery, where she gained knowledge on cutting-edge clinical research experiences. Morgan has also worked as an Office Support Volunteer at Mount Sinai Queens, where she handled medical charts and administrative tasks.
At Hunter, Morgan took classes such as AP Chemistry, AP French Language & Culture, AP BC Calculus, Medical Physiology, and Creative Writing: Poetry. Morgan took the SAT in November of her junior year and scored a 1510.
In her free time, Morgan enjoys photography, writing poetry, playing the Korean Drums, and Tetris.
