Kweller Prep Tutor Neo

Neo is an undergraduate student studying Economics and Art History at Dartmouth College, where he has a 3.9 GPA. On campus, he is a news writer for The Dartmouth, his college’s school newspaper, and on the leadership committee of the Museum Club, a collaboration with Dartmouth’s Hood Museum of Art. He also recently completed the TuckLAB: Entrepreneurship program at the Tuck School of Business, where he learned business skills like communication and spreadsheet modeling. This coming fall, he will be completing an independent research fellowship examining the development of the art market.

Neo attended Hunter College High School from 7th to 12th grade, and prepared for the Hunter exam with Kweller Prep. At Hunter, he stayed active: he was the founder and president of his school’s history publication, and he was Managing Editor for The Observer, Hunter’s school newspaper, as well as an editor for The Pulse, a medical magazine. He spent much of his time volunteering as the Treasurer of Village Book Builders, a nonprofit dedicated to expanding educational access for global underserved communities. He was also a Tutoring Leader for Sparks Within Reach, which provided tutoring programs for housing-insecure NYC students. During the summers, Neo interned with a variety of humanities-oriented organizations: the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, City Limits (a local investigative newspaper), and Butterman & Kahn, a law firm specializing in family law.

Neo took multiple AP classes while at Hunter, including AP Calculus BC, AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, AP Chemistry, AP Statistics, and AP Art History. He received a perfect 1600 on his SAT and 4s and 5s in his AP exams.

As a former Hunter student, Neo not only looks forward to preparing his students for standardized exams but also to providing advice for success within high school. In his free time, he likes to read, watch movies, and visit New York’s many museums.
