Kweller Prep Tutor Olivia

Olivia is currently an undergraduate student at Northwestern University, majoring in Finance with a minor in Russian.

Olivia graduated from Hunter College High School. During her time at Hunter, she was the president of Make Our Schools Safe, advocating for gun violence prevention, and the president of the Hawks Ski and Board Club, organizing an annual school-wide ski trip to Vermont. Outside of school, Olivia worked as an Assistant Teacher at her local Hebrew School and helped run weekly Friday night services. She spent the summer before her junior year as both a day camp and sleepaway camp counselor. Olivia has done various tutoring jobs throughout high school, and tutored kids in Math, Science, and ELA. Olivia volunteered with kids with special needs through Friendship Circle for five years, and volunteered as a tutoring leader in underserved schools for three years. The summer after her junior year, Olivia received a fully-funded scholarship (NSLI-Y) from the U.S. State Department to study Russian abroad in Kyrgyzstan, where she lived with a host family and attended school.

Olivia was in Extended Honors Math, an accelerated math class, from eighth grade through her junior year, and took AP BC Calculus in her senior year. She also took AP Statistics, AP US Government and Politics, and AP Spanish. Olivia sat for the ACT the summer before her junior year and received a composite 36/36.

In her free time, Olivia loves to ice skate and ski (weather permitting), bake, and hang out with friends.
