RUDY

RUDY is currently pursuing his Master’s in Computer Science at The Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University, located in the heart of Boston. He attends graduate school on a full scholarship. Rudy’s coursework includes Discrete Mathematics and Structures, Data Structures, Algorithmic Design & Applications in Computer Science Systems, Object-Oriented Design, Legal Writing, Contract Law Level 1 and 2, Torts, and Property Law. online, Rudy can teach in-person classes at Kweller Queens, Manhattan, and Zoom online. Rudy graduated from St. Joseph’s College with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, finishing with a 3.67/4.0 GPA. Rudy attended college on a full scholarship and was even featured in the school’s commercial. Rudy’s college coursework has included rigorous math and science classes such as Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Physics, Physical Chemistry, Biochemistry, and physiology, all of which he aced. Rudy was on the Dean’s List at St. Joseph’s throughout college. Always striving for more, Rudy explored becoming an attorney. During this time, he interned as a summer associate at Nixon Peabody LLP, where he learned about corporate transactions and mergers & acquisitions. Rudy served in a Clinician position at NYU School of Medicine in a Breast Oncology trial capacity exploring the field of medicine. He decided he was destined to obtain a higher degree as a math and science researcher and computer scientist. Rudy graduated from the Archbishop Molloy High school in Queens. Acing the math section of the TACHS exam, Rudy received a full scholarship to Molloy High School. His high school math and science courses included: Honors Physics, Pre-College Chemistry, Precalculus, Calculus, Trigonometry, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Public Speaking, and Creative Writing. Rudy started tutoring students at Kweller Prep nearly seven years ago. He began employment as a TACHS tutor and taught about one dozen math and science courses at Kweller Prep. Rudy’s favorite tutoring job includes working with middle school students. He has taught 6th graders preparation for the Hunter High School (HCHS) entrance exam for nearly five years. Rudy greatly enjoys teaching in creative ways so that his kids will learn. Rudy is a proud son of Haitian immigrants. He was born and raised in Queens, New York. He speaks French and Creole. Having navigated the educational system and understanding the nuances of administration, Rudy is a pillar of support for his peers and students who need information and guidance on optimally navigating the high school, college, and graduate school systems. Rudy is a gifted teacher who can break down a challenging concept with ease. Rudy is patient, kind, thorough, friendly, and relatable. Rudy is a brilliant tutor who conveys content in a way that students understand. When Rudy teaches, he is in his element. We are fortunate to have Rudy as a longtime tutor for the students at Kweller Prep.
