SEJUTI

Sejuti is an undergraduate student at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, where she is planning to major in either mechanical engineering or computer science. She graduated from Stuyvesant High School in June 2021 with a 93 GPA and took advantage of the rigorous coursework offered, including Advanced Placement classes and advanced STEM classes. She has taken AP Chemistry, AP English Language and Composition, AP Microeconomics, AP Calc AB, AP US Government and Politics, AP English Literature and Composition, Advanced Physics, Organic Chemistry, Human Diseases, and Medical Human Genetics. In high school, Sejuti participated in ARISTA (Stuyvesant’s Honor Society) and the Stuyvesant Fencing Team. She also volunteered at the Elmhurst Hospital, tutored SHSAT students, and co-founded a nonprofit called CityGreens that helped promote health and wellness during the pandemic. She has teaching experience through tutoring her younger siblings and cousins as well as underclassmen by helping them in STEM subjects and editing their essays as an ARISTA tutor. Sejuti was a former SAT student at Kweller Prep and ended up scoring a 1520 on the SAT on her first try, placing her in the 99th percentile of all test-takers. Before the pandemic shut down all in-person visits, she attended the Kweller college visits, which helped her immensely during her college research process. Because Kweller Prep has played such a significant role in her success, Sejuti is passionate about tutoring current Kweller students. Sejuti is fluent in Bengali and is familiar with Spanish. In her free time, she likes to play guitar, watch movies, and spend time with her friends and family.
