Kweller Prep Tutor Simon

Simon currently attends Boston University, majoring in Statistics and Computer Science. He graduated from Hunter College High School, taking challenging courses like AP BC Calculus (5), AP Physics C: Mechanics (5), and AP Statistics (5). Simon took the SAT at the end of his sophomore year, receiving a composite score of 1560 with a 780 in both the English and Math sections. Recently, Simon completed an internship with Morgan Stanley, where he worked on time-saving automation for colleagues in his team. Simon is passionate about technology and efficiency and looks to use his degree and experience from BU to continue digitizing and automating the world around him.

Outside of his major, Simon loves tutoring and creative work. Simon previously tutored SAT Math to students through Schoolhouse.world, a tutoring non-profit created by the founder of Khan Academy. Simon also taught competition math to elementary and middle school students, preparing small classes of students for their first encounter with the AMC. Simon was also co-editor-in-chief of Annals, Hunter College High School’s yearbook. As the largest yearbook in Manhattan with a project scale of over $90,000, he pushed to create a more welcoming environment for the team of 43 students who worked on the book alongside him and his co-EIC. In his free time, Simon continues to pursue creative work and personal technology projects, but he also loves to bake and cook for his friends and family.
