SURI is an undergraduate student at Cornell University, where she majors in Biology and Society and is on the pre-med track. After medical school, she plans to become a child neurologist.
After scoring a 541 on the Specialized High School Admissions Test (SHSAT) with the help of classes at Kweller Prep, Suri attended the Bronx High School of Science. At Bronx Science, she took 10 AP classes, including AP Biology, AP Physics I, and AP United States History, earning scores of 4 or 5 on every AP exam. She also served as the captain of the Bronx Science Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) team and vice president of the Green Team. She was a member of the National Honor Society, Model United Nations team, and Science Olympiad.
Outside of school, Suri conducted research at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, studying the allosteric modulation of the 𝜇-opioid receptor in the Wacker Lab. Based on her work, she was selected as a semi-finalist for the New York City Metro Junior Science and Humanities Symposium. Additionally, as the head of The NeuroKidz NYC, she developed afterschool and summer programs in collaboration with local nonprofits and elementary schools, leading a team of 10+ high school volunteers to teach neuroscience to over 100 elementary-aged children. As a leader of the Zero Waste Schools nonprofit, she helped raise over $20,000 to fund new recycling bins for Bronx schools.
On the SAT, Suri scored a 1510, with a 790/800 in English and a 720/800 in Math. As a former Kweller Prep student, she is excited to help others excel on the SHSAT, SAT, and PSAT. In her free time, she enjoys visiting cafes and thrifting for new clothes.
