Meet Our LSAT Tutor Ahmed

Kweller Prep Tutor Ahmed

Ahmed attends Columbia Law School. His current coursework includes: Bankruptcy Law, Taxation of Financial Instruments, Corporations, and Issues in the First Amendment. Outside of class, Ahmed is part of Columbia’s Journal of Tax Law and is Vice President of The South Asian Law Student Association. Ahmed is a graduate of Macaulay Honors College at Baruch, a program that allowed him to attend all four years on a full scholarship. He majored in Accounting and minored in Real Estate. While in college, Ahmed served as president of the Pre-Law Society and Macaulay Ambassadors. As an Ambassador, Ahmed hosted open houses for Macaulay prospective students since his freshman year. In fact, Ahmed was one of the only students featured in a video for prospective students, called, A Day in the Life of a Macaulay student. The summer after his freshman summer in college, Ahmed taught SAT classes to students in Copenhagen, Denmark. All his expenses (food, room, board, and housing) were paid by Project Russeau, a nonprofit. He dedicated the summer to teaching 30 teenage students how to ace the SAT. The summer after his sophomore year, Ahmed, interned at a law firm in Times Square. He served as a legal assistant. This is where he learned he wanted to become an attorney. The summer after his junior year, Ahmed interned with one of the Big 4 accounting firms in their real estate tax group divisions. Ahmed began studying for the LSATs and scored in the 98th percentile. Ahmed was accepted to Duke Law School, Cornell Law School, New York University Law School, University of Pennsylvania Law School, University of Michigan Law School, University of Virginia Law School, Northwestern School of Law, Georgetown Law School, and Vanderbilt Law School. Ahmed graduated from Sewanhaka High School, his zoned school in Long Island, at the top of his class. He took several Advanced Placement Classes, including AP Bio, AP US History, AP World History, AP Calculus, AP Physics, AP Chemistry, and AP Microeconomics. Ahmed also a number of college-level courses, including English 101 while he was a high school student. He was also involved in a variety of extracurricular activities. He was Vice President of the student body, Captain of the Varsity Football team, and Captain of the Varsity Basketball team. Ahmed is fluent in Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi. Outside of school, Ahmed enjoys playing basketball and football and hanging out with his Macaulay classmate, Neha, who is also a tutor at Kweller Prep.
