Kweller Prep Tutor Ava

AVA is currently a student at Johns Hopkins University and plans to pursue a pre-med track. She is pursuing a career in sports medicine. Ava is also a college athlete. Ava has competed nationally as a tennis player since age 12 and now competes for the Johns Hopkins Women’s Tennis Team. We are proud to add that Ava was a Kweller Prep student preparing for the Hunter Exam.

AVA is a graduate of Hunter College High School. In high school, Ava competed for the Hunter Tennis Team in her sophomore and junior years. Ava was undefeated and a two-time MVP. During her sophomore through senior years in high school, Ava was a volunteer tennis coach at her tennis academy over the summers. She taught underprivileged kids aged 6 to 12 how to play tennis. In high school, Ava was also a 9th grade Honors Geometry peer tutor her Junior year, where she helped her students from an F average to a B+/A-. Additionally, Ava was a 9th-grade Honors Biology class teaching intern her senior year, where she graded and assisted with labs, held review sessions before each exam, and taught one lesson per semester. Ava was in Extended Honors Math, an accelerated math class during her sophomore and junior years. During her junior and senior years, Ava took classes such as AP Biology (5), AP Spanish (5), AP Chemistry, AP BC Calculus, and AP Statistics. Ava also took Honors Advanced Essay Writing and Honors Literary Journalism. Ava sat for the SAT during her junior year. She received a 750/800 in the English section and a 780/800 in the Math section (1530 composite score).

Ava is extremely familiar with the nuances of the SAT, Hunter Test, and Honors high school curriculum. As a former Kweller student herself, she is proud to work at and give back to the place that helped her get to where she is today. In her free time, Ava loves watching movies, shopping, and hanging out with her family and friends.
