Kweller Prep Tutor Frederick

Frederick is a current student at New York University’s College of Arts and Science on a merit scholarship pursuing a joint degree in Economic Theory and Mathematics. His coursework includes Multivariate Calculus, Macroeconomic and Microeconomic Theory, Urban Economics, Linear Algebra, and Statistics. A graduate of Stuyvesant High School, Frederick scored a 1570/1600 on his SAT placing him at the 99th percentile nationally out of the 1.7 million test takers for the SAT exam. Additionally, he scored a 1490/1520 on his PSAT and received a five on several AP exams (Chemistry, Macroeconomics, Computer Science, U.S. History, and World History). With a cumulative GPA of over 95%, Frederick received the honors of National Merit Finalist and AP Scholar with Distinction. At Stuyvesant, he was involved with the Stuyvesant History Club, leading them to the History Bee and Bowl National Championships. Furthermore, he competed and medaled in several regional and invitational competitions on behalf of Stuyvesant’s Science Olympiad team, took courses at Columbia University as part of their Science Honors Program, and volunteered at the Broadway Community Church’s Four Star Soup Kitchen in meal preparation. At NYU, Frederick currently serves as the events director of the Chinese Mei Society, where he hosts large Chinese cultural events. Frederick started tutoring students for the SHSAT and the SAT in his senior year of high school and continues to tutor his sister in mathematics and problem-solving. In his free time, Frederick enjoys playing the guitar and recording cover songs, transcribing music, and playing table tennis. At Kweller Prep, Frederick hopes to continue to help students achieve their academic goals and ambitions.
