Kweller Prep Tutor Julian

Julian is studying International Politics and Economics at the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.

Previously, Julian attended Regis High School, a highly selective tuition-free Jesuit High School on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. At Regis, Julian was a top-ranking member of the Regis Varsity Public Forum Debate team, competing and judging at prestigious National Circuit tournaments at top universities like Harvard, Yale, and Princeton. He also founded Regis’ National High School Ethics Bowl (NHSEB) team, leading the team to place 8th, 7th, and 2nd at the National Championship at UNC-Chapel Hill in its first three years of competing. In school, Julian was the president of the philosophy club and an editor of The Owl newspaper, Regis’ largest publication. While at Regis, Julian also spent two years conducting scientific research that explored memory retention patterns in the field of linguistics. Julian also received numerous academic awards including the National Merit Scholarship and the AP Scholar with Distinction award.

During his time in high school, Julian worked multiple political internships. He served as a field organizer on Christopher Lebron’s Campaign for State Assembly and Mike Corbett’s Campaign for State Senate. After gaining political experience in the field, Julian spent the summer before his junior year interning with New York City Council Member Farah Louis as a legislative and community outreach intern. Continuing his political involvement, Julian worked a part-time position at New York State Assemblyman Michael Novakhov’s office. He also spent a year interning at Order.Co, a financial technology startup, as a member of the backend business operations team. In the summer before his senior year of high school, Julian was awarded the highly competitive US State Department NSLI-Y Scholarship to study Korean in Yongin, South Korea, where he took classes at Dankook University and lived with a host family.

Julian first came to Kweller as a student in sixth grade for Hunter College High School Test Prep. Since then, he has prepared students for the SAT, PSAT, HSPT, TACHS, and SHSAT exams. In his free time, Julian enjoys reading philosophy and exploring New York City with his friends.
