His coursework at Harvard includes Property Law, Taxation, Financial Analysis & Valuation, Contracts, Civil Procedure, Criminal Law, Legislation & Regulation, and Legal Research and Writing. During Kareem’s first year of law school, his Harvard classes were all online, and we had the good fortune of having him as our in-person tutor at Kweller Prep Queens all year (lucky us!). Kareem also led multiple zoom webinars explaining to students their path to Harvard JD/MBA. Kareem graduated from the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science at Columbia University. In college, Kareem served as the president of Columbia’s chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers, helps Columbia administration organize career fairs, engaged high school students in Harlem by teaching a curriculum created in Computer Science. His college coursework included Calculus, differential equations, physics, chemistry, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics. Kareem received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering along with a minor in Applied Mathematics. He finished his Columbia undergraduate coursework with a 3.7/4.0 GPA. Kareem also led tours of Columbia University for Kweller Prep while he was a student there. At Kareem’s Columbia University graduation, he was decorated with a slew of academic and leadership awards at Kareem received multiple job offers for engineering roles at various Fortune 500 companies. After graduating from Columbia, Kareem chose to start an engineering career at Exxon Mobil in Houston. He held a position as an Integrity Engineer, was decorated with company-internal awards, and ranked in his peers’ top percentage. Exxon Mobil, one of the world’s largest publicly traded energy providers and chemical manufacturers, develops and applies next-generation technologies to meet the world’s growing needs safely and responsibly for energy and high-quality chemical products. Kareem recently transitioned to a small firm’s project management position to broaden his skill set and take on more responsibility. Kareem graduated from York Specialized High School as an AP Scholar with Distinction. He took many challenging classes at York, including AP Physics (Mechanics and Electricity/Magnetism), AP Chemistry, AP BC Calculus, AP English, and more. Kareem not only attended York but also motivated others to attend. Kareem led yearly tours of York for the students at Kweller Prep. Kareem aced his PSAT and SAT, achieving nearly perfect scores. Kareem also scored 4s and 5s on all his AP exams. Kareem is an expert instructor. He has tutored at Kweller Prep for ten years. He has taught hundreds of students in-person at Kweller Prep Queens, Manhattan, and remotely via Zoom Online. Kareem started tutoring students while he was still in high school. Kareem’s love for teaching has not wavered throughout the years. He makes time to guide students for the SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, SHSAT, and STEM classes such as Physics, Chemistry, and Calculus. Kareem is a proud son of Jamaican immigrants. Born and raised in Queens, New York, Kareem is the first in his family to pursue a JD and an MBA. He was the first to attend an Ivy League college as well. His journey to this point has been inspirational. Kareem is also an excellent source of support for his students, helping them to navigate the college and graduate school admissions process long after being his pupils. Kareem has solid math skills; he scored in the 99th percentile on all three math regents (Algebra, Algebra 2/Trig, and Geometry). He has taught students preparing for the Hunter exam, SHSAT, and American Math Competitions (AMC). Kareem has been part of the staff at Kweller Prep for eight years. Bit on the stricter end, Kareem makes sure his students stay on task while with him. We are incredibly fortunate that Kareem has been a part of our tutoring family for nearly a decade.
