Nicholas 

Nicholas is a sophomore attending Tufts University. Tufts is a prestigious research university located just outside of Boston, MA. Nicholas is majoring in International Relations with a minor in French. Some of his classes include Politiques économiques et Société, International Economics, Expository Writing, and US-China Relations. At Tufts, Nicholas is a member of the Pre-Law Society, the Model United Nations team, and the club soccer team. Nicholas has made the dean’s list at Tufts University every semester and received the Certificate of Superior Work at the Tufts University Department of Romance Studies. 

Nicholas graduated from Hunter College High School in 2021 with a 94 GPA. At Hunter, Nicholas took 5 Advanced Placement courses: AP Calculus, AP US Government and Politics, AP Biology, AP Microeconomics, and AP Macroeconomics. Nicholas scored a 5 on the Advanced Placement Biology exam and Advanced Placement US Government and Politics exam. Nicholas also scored a 4 on the Advanced Placement AB Calculus Exam. Nicholas got a 33/36 on the ACT, scoring a 35/36 on the grammar section. In high school, Nicholas played varsity soccer all four years and became the captain of the team his senior year. In addition, he was selected as a “Big Sib” where he helped younger students adjust academically and socially to the rigor of Hunter College High school. Through his work as a Big Sib, Nicholas has years of experience preparing students for bright academic futures, whether at Hunter or elsewhere. 

Nicholas has tutored for Kweller Prep for two years and counting, teaching everything from Hunter Test Prep to SAT Prep. Nicholas is passionate about the law and plans to attend law school post-graduation. This past summer, Nicholas was able to secure a paid internship at an immigration law office. As an intern, Nicholas helped numerous immigrants find refuge in the US. He translated between French and English for clients, conducted extensive research on case topics to inform arguments in the courtroom, and wrote affidavits of support. To further explore his interest in the law, Nicholas plans to study abroad in Amsterdam next spring, where he’ll attend Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and take Law School level courses. In Nicholas’ free time, he likes to play soccer, go on bike rides, and hang out with friends.
