Noel is currently an MD/PhD at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he will be completing his PhD in Neuroscience. Noel recently graduated from the University of Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry. Noel was admitted to the University of Chicago Early Decision with a full scholarship through the Questbridge National College Match Program.
During his time at the University, Noel took courses across the sciences, including General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology, Genetics, Physiology, Biochemistry, Physics, and several Neuroscience electives. Noel graduated as a Student Marshal, one of the highest honors awarded to a student in the University. During his time at the University of Chicago, Noel was a lab TA since his second year, instructing sections of students in Human Cell and Microbial Biology, Genetics and Developmental Biology, Physiology, as well as Mathematical Modeling for Premed Students. Noel was also the volunteer coordinator for a program that provides academic support for pediatric patients with prolonged hospitalizations at the hospital on campus. Noel has also completed internships doing research at New York Midtown OB/GYN, the Snyder Research Group at the University of Chicago, and GSK. Noel’s work in these internships has resulted in publications on a medical sociology meta-analysis in the Journal of Perinatal Medicine, a poster that was presented at the American Society of Hematology Conference in December of 2022, as well as a Continuing Education Module at the University of Illinois- Chicago School of Pharmacy.
Noel graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School in 2019 with a 100.3% weighted average.
In high school, he completed the following regents courses: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Living Environment, Chemistry, Physics, Spanish, Global History, and United States History. Noel received an Advanced Regents Diploma with the NY State Seal of Biliteracy. He also completed several Advanced Placement courses: World History, Computer Science Principles, United States History, English Language and Composition, Chemistry, Spanish Language and Culture, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Calculus BC, and English Literature and Composition. Noel received a score of 1510 on the SAT, with an 800/800 on the math section. Noel is also fluent in Albanian and Spanish and has recently studied Italian.
During his free time, Noel enjoys playing the viola and listening to music from all over the world. Noel is eager to help students through their educational journeys while teaching at Kweller Prep.
