RACHEL

Kweller Prep Tutor Rachel

Rachel is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at St. John’s University, a highly competitive program for which she was selected out of 2,000 potential candidates for a class of just 75 students. She earned this prestigious spot upon completing her undergraduate degree in Biology. As a Biology major, Rachel undertook a demanding course load that included General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Calculus, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Advanced Anatomy and Physiology. She graduated from St. John’s University with her undergraduate degree, earning an exceptional 3.98 GPA.

As part of the rigorous PA curriculum, Rachel is required to develop proficiency in anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and medical diagnostics, as well as all facets of clinical medicine, including surgical technique and the diagnosis and development of treatment plans. To fulfill her required medical experience hours, Rachel generously volunteered her time across multiple departments at Elmhurst Hospital, including physical therapy, urology, and orthopedics.

Rachel’s academic excellence was evident long before college. She was a straight-A student at the Academy of American Studies High School, where she maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA over all four years—all while playing varsity sports for three different teams. A natural leader, Rachel served as captain of the basketball, soccer, and flag football teams. In the classroom, she challenged herself with Advanced Placement courses, earning a 4 on AP Calculus AB, a 5 on AP European History, and a 4 on AP United States History. Rachel graduated with an Advanced Regents Diploma, passing her Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Living Environment, and Chemistry Regents exams with scores of at least 95%. She was ranked 4th overall in her graduating class and was honored with her high school’s prestigious “Eagle Award” in recognition of her outstanding athletic and academic achievements.

Rachel also brings valuable teaching experience to her work with students. At Kweller Prep, she has taught a wide range of classes, including ELA, Math, Hunter exam preparation, SHSAT preparation, and writing courses, helping students build the skills and confidence they need to succeed.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys listening to music, playing the guitar, playing and watching sports, and reading.
