SRUTHI

Sruthi is a rising freshman in the Macaulay Honors Program at Baruch College. She is a graduate of Townsend Harris High School (Class of 2022). While at Townsend Harris, Sruthi had a weighted average of 100.3 and took numerous Advanced Placement Classes, including AP English Literature, AP Capstone Seminar, AP Capstone Research, AP Spanish Literature, AP Statistics, AP United States Government, and AP Computer Science A. She has also attained mastery in all her regents with a score of 90 or higher, including Algebra I, Geometry, Chemistry, and Biology. While at high school, Sruthi attained college credit by taking numerous college-level classes through college now and the bridge program at THHS. The classes she took included Freshman Humanities Seminar, Philosophy, Comparative Politics, and Urban Studies. At Townsend Harris, Sruthi has also participated in a school-wide election stimulation in which she played a candidate to gain experience in the domain of politics. Outside of Townsend, Sruthi participated and graduated from a course known as SAFL (Sanskrit as a foreign language). Sruthi has attended numerous competitions to further her skills, such as the Theodore Roosevelt Speaking Competition and local elocution competitions. Sruthi has also volunteered as a peer tutor in her school for three years, was a leader of a public speaking club at Townsend, and has participated in an online internship named Comet. Sruthi has attended Kweller prep since she was a sixth-grader at Louis Armstrong Middle School. She ultimately continued in high school and eventually became an intern at the center. During her free time, Sruthi enjoys dancing, cooking, listening to music, and public speaking.
