VALERIA

Kweller Prep Tutor Valeria

Valeria currently attends Fordham University on a full academic scholarship with an intended major in Political Science on a Pre-law track. Valeria graduated from the Academy of American Studies as a member of the Honors Society in the top 5% of my senior class with a 100-weighted GPA. During her four years of high school, Valeria won the AP Scholar award, National Hispanic Recognition Scholar award, Honor Roll, and awards in Physics, Mathematics, and Art.

Throughout high school, Valeria took 5 AP courses, including AP European History, AP Spanish Language and Culture, AP Language and Composition, AP United States History, and AP American Government and Politics. Moreover, Valeria took a college biology course at St. John’s University through dual enrollment and 4 College Now courses, including algebra, trigonometry/statistics and psychology/topics in biology through the LaGuardia Community College. During her sophomore year, Valeria was a member of the Track and Field team for the summer and later on the Cross Country team in the fall.

Valeria joined the Yearbook Club in her Senior Year as an editor and the newspaper committee as a filler editor and published stories throughout the year in the school newspaper, the Academy Gazette. Moreover, during the summer of her sophomore and Junior years, Valeria worked for the Summer Youth Employment Program. In tenth grade, Valeria was in the Restorative Justice program, which gave insight into the corrupt and biased practices of the court. When not at Kweller Prep, Valeria enjoys reading, playing with her dog, watching movies, and listening to music.
