VALERIA

Valeria is an undergraduate student at Fordham University’s Lincoln Center campus, attending on a full academic scholarship. She is pursuing a major in Finance with a minor in Economics on the Pre-Law track, combining strong analytical training with a focused interest in law. Her coursework includes Financial & Managerial Accounting, Investments, Financial Modeling, Microeconomics, and Macroeconomics.

Valeria graduated from the Academy of American Studies as a member of the Honors Society, ranking in the top 5% of her class with a 100-weighted GPA. She earned numerous distinctions, including the AP Scholar Award, National Hispanic Recognition Scholar Award, Honor Roll, and subject awards in Physics, Mathematics, and Art. During high school, she completed five AP courses—AP European History, AP Spanish Language and Culture, AP English Language and Composition, AP United States History, and AP American Government and Politics. She further strengthened her academic foundation through dual enrollment at St. John’s University (College Biology) and multiple College Now courses through LaGuardia Community College, including Algebra, Trigonometry/Statistics, and Psychology/Topics in Biology.

At Fordham, Valeria is an active member of the Mock Trial Team, competing in both state and national competitions. She has also gained professional experience through internships in legal and consulting settings, with a focus on supporting nonprofit organizations. In addition, she works as a Knack Tutor, helping college students succeed in Microeconomics and Macroeconomics through clear, structured instruction.

Beyond academics, Valeria has demonstrated strong leadership and involvement through extracurricular activities, including serving as an editor for her high school yearbook and contributing writer for the Academy Gazette. She also participated in track and field and cross country, and was selected for a Restorative Justice program that provided insight into the legal system and its societal impact. During high school, she was a participant in the Summer Youth Employment Program.

In her free time, Valeria enjoys reading, watching movies, listening to music, and spending time with her dog.
